Hello, my name is Karen and welcome to my website By the Yarn Hand Made Knitting. I am an avid knitter and crocheter and have been designing and producing quality hand knit and crocheted treasures for over 40 years. I enjoy working with all types of fibers to produce the custom made items requested. 

Before retiring, many co-workers would place their orders and be thrilled when they held their yarn creations - it's that joy that keeps me so excited to keep knitting and crocheting. Many of my customers are repeat customers. I have an extensive library of patterns for all kinds of projects. If you have a pattern that you would like made, that works also. My yarn stash contains close to 30,000 balls of yarn so it is very likely that I could have what is required for your special creation. If you have the yarn - that's great.

I decided that I needed a portfolio to show my work. It brings me great joy to create custom quality keepsakes for knitting and crocheting enthusiasts.
